University of Utah — Located right in Salt Lake City, the U has more than 24,000 undergraduates and is consistently ranked as a best college in the United States. It is known for its many research centers and institutes, which include the American West Center and the Brain Institute. The Utes are well-known for their School of Medicine, which is actually the only medical school in the State. Furthermore, its School of Business as well as College of Law are top programs in the state. When students aren’t studying, you can catch them hiking in the nearby mountains, skiing at a variety of close resorts or attending an athletic event as the U is part of the PAC-12.
Utah State University — Located in Logan, Utah, Utah State Aggies have been creating traditions since 1888. It’s agricultural sciences program is one of the best in the U.S. as well as its business school. Utah State’s campus has been voted one of the most beautiful campuses in the U.S. several times as it sits on Old Main Hill with the gorgeous mountains as a backdrop. There are many student events and activities put on by Utah State every week, which creates a fun and highly-involved campus. One of the most popular events is the Howl, the biggest campus Halloween party in the west.
Dixie State University — If you like the heat, then Dixie State might be for you. Located in St. George, Utah, Dixie State is a short drive away from a variety of Utah’s national parks and has the lowest in-state and out-of-state tuition costs of any of Utah’s four-year universities! It boasts affordable living in a unique and beautiful area. Dixie State is also home to the Digital Forensics Crime Lab (DFCL).
